Welcome to Fort Lincoln in 2009
FortLincoln.com is the official website for the Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation. The Foundation mission, since 1982, is to promote and manage the reconstruction, development and interpretation of the historical sites of old Fort Abraham Lincoln and the On-a-Slant Indian Village within Fort Lincoln State Park, near Mandan, North Dakota, across the Missouri River from Bismarck, the state capital.
To tell the stories of Custer, the 7th Cavalry and the Mandan Indians, the foundation has established the Northern Plains' finest living history interpretive program. Through the support of its members, the Mandan-Bismarck communities, and the visitors from around the world, the Foundation stands as a cornerstone of heritage tourism in North Dakota. Welcome and thanks for visiting.
